All five supported registrars have full domain sync. Differences are in setup requirements and auto-renew write support.

Namecheap

Best for: Established domain portfolios already managed through Namecheap

API eligibility: 20+ domains, $50 account balance, $50 spent in the last 2 years, or manual approval

Highlights: Reads your full domain list and expiry dates on each sync. Auto-renew status is imported as read-only.

Good to know: Your server IP must be whitelisted in Namecheap before any API call succeeds.

Porkbun

Best for: Affordable domain portfolios managed through Porkbun

API eligibility: Standard account with API access enabled

Highlights: Simple JSON API with no IP whitelisting required. Domainion can toggle auto-renew directly from the app.

Good to know: Your Secret API key is shown only once when created — copy it immediately or you will need to regenerate both keys.

GoDaddy

Best for: Large domain portfolios managed through GoDaddy

API eligibility: Domains API access usually requires 10+ active domains or an eligible GoDaddy API plan/membership

Highlights: REST API with straightforward key and secret authentication. Domainion can toggle auto-renew directly.

Good to know: Use Production API keys from developer.godaddy.com — Test environment keys return empty domain lists.

Cloudflare

Best for: Domain portfolios registered and managed through Cloudflare Registrar

API eligibility: Domains must be registered through Cloudflare Registrar

Highlights: At-cost domain pricing with no markup. Domainion can toggle auto-renew directly.

Good to know: Only domains registered through Cloudflare Registrar appear — domains merely proxied through Cloudflare DNS will not be listed.

Best for: Developer-friendly domain management with a clean REST API

API eligibility: Standard DNSimple account with API token access

Highlights: Simple token authentication with no IP whitelisting. Domainion can toggle auto-renew directly.

Good to know: Use your Account ID, not your User ID — they are different values in DNSimple and found on different pages.
